Staff Profile:Associate Professor in Integrative Metabolism

Name:
Dr Sandrine Claus
Job Title:
Associate Professor
Responsibilities:

Examinations Officer

Module convenor of FB3 PFB

Athena Swan Co-ordinator

Areas of Interest:

My research focuses on the host-gut microbial metabolic interactions in order to link gut microbial ecology to metabolic health. This is achieved using NMR-based metabolic profiling approaches combined to multivariate statistics. Applications include metabolic monitoring of diet intervention, exploration of the impact of gut microbiota on type II diabetes and metabolic syndrome, investigation of drug-bug interactions and development of new diagnostic tools for various intestinal diseases.
