By Rail:

Reading is a mainline train station and is easily accessible from most other places around the UK. There are direct trains from a number of major cities as well as a large number of routes through London. If you are travelling from or via London the best (and quickest) route to take is from London's Paddington station. Buses that run from the train station to the University include the 20 and 21. Alternatively the University is a short taxi ride from the station (approx. 2 miles).

If using a Sat Nav please using postcode RG6 6UR

The easiest and most direct route is via the M4 motorway.

Leave the motorway at Junction 11. When you reach the roundabout at the top of the slip road follow the signs for the University of Reading. Follow this road and at the first roundabout turn left on to the A327 (Shinfield Road).

Follow this road and go straight through two sets of traffic lights, passing a parade of shops and Leighton Park School.

Turn right at the third traffic light junction into Pepper Lane. Enter the University via the Pepper Lane Entrance on your left.

Car parks 10, 12 and 13 are closest to the Food Biosciences Building.
