Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking University of Reading Centenary event, exploring the past, present, and future of animal research at Reading. Hear from guest speakers and University of Reading scientists as they highlight key breakthroughs achieved over the years, their real-world impact, and how current research continues to push boundaries while placing animal welfare at its core. The programme will also examine advances in refinement practices and the growing role of alternative methods, with a focus on reducing and ultimately replacing animal use in the years ahead. The evening will include the premiere of a short film offering a rare behind-the-scenes look inside our animal research facility, showcasing day-to-day operations and the dedication of our staff. Admission is free, but booking is essential.
