Join the Institute of Education for their in-person Climate and Education showcase. This is a celebration for the Institute of Education (IoE), University of Reading community to share and reflect on the progress made in embedding their Initial Teacher Education Climate and Sustainability Education Pilot Framework as part of the National Climate Education Plan. It will be of particular interest to school leaders considering their own climate and sustainability education action plans and those seeking to embed sustainable thinking into their organisation and curriculum, whether in higher, tertiary, secondary, primary or early years education. Throughout the afternoon, there will be a range of presentations and exhibits for you to listen to and explore. You will get to hear from our keynote speaker, David Dixon, a specialist in leadership in schools and author of the ‘Leadership for Sustainability’ book as well as a presentation by Mel Kee from ‘Students Organising for Sustainability-UK’. A range of exhibits and displays will showcase the IoE’s climate education work that has taken place this year, through the engagement of teacher educators This event forms as part of the wider University of Reading Climate Festival. The showcase is open to the public however booking is required due to limited capacity.
