Emily Thornberry
Member of Parliament for Islington South and Finsbury

Reading University Politics and International Relations Society (RUPIRS) and the Department of Politics & International Relations are delighted to welcome Emily Thornberry to the University of Reading for the latest in our series of 'Political Voices' events.

Emily Thornberry is the Member of Parliament for Islington South and Finsbury. First elected in 2005, she has been re-elected four times. She is one of only two Labour MPs to have served continuously in the Shadow Cabinet since 2016, covering the Defence, Brexit, Foreign Affairs and International Trade briefs in that time, while also serving as Shadow First Secretary of State. Since November 2021, she has held the role of Shadow Attorney General.

The lecture presentation will be followed by an open Q&A session.

Admission is free. Booking is essential.
