Audio Visual

Projectors and screens are available in most teaching rooms on the Whiteknights campus, but do check this when booking your venue. Instructions of how to use the projectors are given on information sheets in teaching rooms. For any additional advice on Audio Visual contact IT Services at its-help@reading.ac.uk or call 0118 378 6262.

We recommend that you have a rehearsal or briefing with your event speaker to work out the following:

• Which microphones to use and sound levels
• Presentation run through (especially Video Technology)
• Where exactly the speaker will stand when speaking and will sit when not speaking (and movement between)

To ensure consistency, ask any speakers from the University of Reading to use University of Reading PowerPoint templates, which can be downloaded from the Design & Print Studio website.

Additional AV support

Extra AV equipment and AV technician support is available to hire for your events. AV technicians are available at a charge of £45.50 per hour.

• Log in using your University staff ID
• Click on 'Place a request'
• Click on 'Audio Visual'
• Click on 'Events Support' and complete the form.
