Flexible, paid, internships for all undergraduates at UoR
The Reading Internship Scheme allows you develop the fundamental skills you need for future employment. We offer you paid 4 – 8 week internships, both part-time internships during term time and full time internships during vacations.
How is the scheme operating now?
Internships which are taking place now are operating remotely to ensure both students and employers are completing internships safely.
Should I apply for summer internships?
We’re hoping internships which are planning to take place over the 2020 summer break will largely take place normally, but of course this will depend on the situation nearer the time. To prepare for this we’re asking employers who are advertising with us for summer internships to prepare for the possibility of virtual internships.
What would completing a virtual internship be like?
Students working remotely will be working from their laptop/PC and will have regular check in points with their supervisor (usually via video call). Virtual internships are very different, however are still great experience as lots of organisations have an element of home working in their business as usual approach.
Below are our current summer internships but please note more internships will be added, so do check the vacancies list each week.
We Are Hex – Front end web developer (closing 27th July)
F&C Estates Ltd – Property Investment and Development Internship (closing 28th July)
Autino - Automotive Product And Market Research Internship (closing 2nd August)
CDK Global – Mixed Reality Project Assistant (closing 2nd August)
Please note, we are working with employers to bring you new internships, check back here on a regular basis to see the latest.
Have you found your own internship?
If you have found your own 4 – 6 week internship which isn’t part of your course and is currently unpaid, please have a look at the Reading Internship Scheme Bursary pages here to see if you are eligible for our bursary of up to £1,000.
If you have any questions at all please contact the scheme’s coordinator Holly Forsyth on email@example.com.
