University Meet & Greet Service
The University will be offering a Meet and Greet Service at Heathrow from Friday 16 September to Sunday 18 September 2022, 07:00-17:00.
Our team of Student Ambassadors and staff will be at Heathrow to meet you at your terminal and direct you to the RailAir coach. The RailAir coach is the best way to reach Reading, coming directly from Heathrow to Reading station. All of the Student Ambassadors will have University of Reading signs and they will be wearing red University of Reading t-shirts - you won't miss them! They will be based at arrivals in the various terminals and in the Central Bus Station. Find out more and sign up.
Travelling to the University
Whiteknights campus is only a short journey from Reading town centre and there are many sustainable options for travel to the University of Reading.
BY TAXI: There is a taxi rank outside Reading train station near the RailAir coach stand shown on this map of the station. The fare is about £10 to the University, and most accommodation in Reading. We recommend you have your accommodation details to hand, and you can ask the driver to take you straight to your accommodation on campus.
BY BUS: If you are travelling to the University, you can take the number 21 bus. See routes and timetables for the No.21. You can pay as you step on the bus, or in advance via the ticket shop. The 21 bus stand is located next to the RailAir coach stand on Blagrave Street.
Can't wait? Get a 360 degree view of the campus before you arrive.
Parking on Whiteknights campus is limited, and we discourage travel to campus by car where possible. However if you need to arrange to park on campus, please see further information.
