    Details for your arrival day

    Locating the University:
If you are using a Sat Nav please use the postcode shown in the table below. For detailed information on getting to the University by rail, bus or airport, click
here. Each Hall will be signposted from the roads just outside and in the main Whiteknights campus.

Arrive directly at your hall at your booked arrival time.

For those arriving by car you will be directed to an unloading area where you will have 40 minutes to unload your belongings.  After this longer-term parking will be available should you need this.  Make sure your belongings are suitably packed as there may be a walk between the unloading area and your flat.  A limited supply of trolleys will be available but items you can carry or wheel are recommended.

At the key collection point, you will need photo ID (like your passport or an ID card). Our helpers will show you where to go, and then you can get settled in.

Please pay attention to the displayed signage and make sure you’re keeping the required distance from yourself and others not in your household.   We advise you to wear a face covering whilst you are moving in.

    Move to alternative parking:

Once unloaded follow the directions to the longer-term car park. We appreciate your cooperation with this as it will ease congestion.

    Complete your inventory form:

Complete your inventory form via the home at halls app within 48 hours of your arrival.

What if I can’t arrive on the scheduled arrival date?

Please stick as close to your arrival time as possible. If you need to amend your arrival slot, you can log back into the Accommodation Portal and repeat the arrival booking process to make a change to one of the other available slots.

What is the main arrival day for my hall?

This year, we have extended our arrivals period so everyone can arrive in a safe and controlled manner. This means you may have the option to arrive a few days before your actual contract start date – you won’t be charged for any extra days if you choose to do this.   When you access the accommodation portal you will see what dates are available for you to arrive for your particular accommodation.
