Campus Arrival Guide
Your step by step arrival guide lists everything you need to do for smooth check-in to your campus accommodation - starting with your e-induction.
Complete your e-induction
Make sure you have completed your e-induction. You should have received an email at the end of August inviting you to complete this. You will not be able to move into your accommodation until you have completed this online. Through the e-induction you’ll find out arrival information, get to know your halls team, how to access the internet, safety, your hall contract, useful apps and contacts numbers and lots more!
Once you have accepted your offer of accommodation and paid your deposit, you will receive an email asking you to complete your e-induction on the Accommodation portal.
1. Log in.to RISIS
2. Click "Actions" from the top menu bar, then select "Accommodation" from the drop-down menu.
3. On the following page, click 'Connect to Accommodation Online'.
4. Once in the Accommodation portal, click 'View' to open your bookings dashboard and start your e-induction.
Book your arrival slot
After completing your e-induction you will be able to book your arrival slot. Please note that arrival slots are first come first served so it’s recommended that you book your slot as soon as you can to choose a time that works best for you.
Home at halls app
Dedicated to improving your student experience, the Home at Halls app is the MUST have app whilst living in university accommodation. On the app you can receive accommodation news, sign up to events, log a maintenance issue, complete your room inventory, collect your parcel and packages, receive important site notifications and much more!
You will be sent an email with the link to register, which will include registration information (please note these will match the information you initially provided, any changes will need to be made via the Accommodation Office). Once registered you will need to verify your email address before you can access the app- make sure you check your junk folder.
Need to change your arrival date?
No problem, just call the accommodation office. If you cannot use the app or are having any difficulty with booking a time, the Halls Hotline will be there to help: Telephone: 0800 029 1984
