Support for students self-isolating after arriving from overseas
The new ‘Test to release’ scheme opens from 15 December. This means that people arriving into the UK from countries not on the exemption list will be able to pay privately for a COVID-19 test to reduce the length of time they need to self-isolate. This is optional and travellers may still choose to self-isolate for the full 10 days rather than pay for a test. If you wish to opt in, you can do this when you complete the Passenger Locator Form prior to travelling to the UK.
We understand that this may be worrying but we will try to make this as manageable as possible. As outlined below, there are plenty of people for you to ask for advice or information if you have any concerns.
