Essentials Projects and Partnerships Surveys Undergraduate students

Undergraduate surveys

Share your feedback for a chance to win a pair of 'VIP' RUSU Summer Ball tickets

We are committed to working in partnership with you, our students, to ensure you have everything you need to succeed during your time studying at Reading. That is why we take student surveys extremely seriously - it means we can listen, understand and act on your views.

All undergraduate students will be invited to complete a survey between February and April 2020 as follows:

  • National Student Survey (NSS) – for undergraduate final-year students
  • UK Engagement Survey (UKES) – for all other undergraduates (non-finalists)
  • Username = your 8 digit Campus Card number | Case-sensitive password = ReadingUKES2020

National Student Survey (NSS)

Click here to access the NSS survey.

The NSS is commissioned by the Office for Students (OfS) and invites students to provide honest feedback on their time at university. There are 27 questions, relating to eight aspects of student experience, and it should take around 15 minutes to complete.

The survey will be open from Monday 3 February until 30 April 2020.

UK Engagement Survey (UKES)

Click here to access the UKES survey. You will need to provide a username (your 8 digit Campus Card number) and the case-sensitive password (ReadingUKES2020).

UKES is an independent survey, commissioned by Advance HE. The questions focus on how you’re engaging with your teaching and learning experience at university and your thoughts on the support offered here at Reading. It should take around 15 minutes to complete.
The survey will be open from Monday 3 February until 30 April 2020.

Win one of 20 pairs of ‘VIP’ tickets to RUSU’s 2020 Summer Ball

All students who enter by midnight on 30 April 2020 will be automatically entered into a random prize draw to win one of 20 pairs of VIP tickets to RUSU’s Summer Ball on Saturday 13 June 2020.

This means you and a friend would enjoy the following ‘VIP’ treatment at the event:
• Exclusive access to the ‘Early bird’ reception with canapés and prosecco
• Early entry to the fairground to enjoy the rides before the queues
• Vouchers for the International Food Fayre (£5 per person)
• Poster featuring all acts performing at the event

A cash alternative cannot be substituted for the prize, although a Blackwells bookshop voucher will be offered to any winners who do not wish to accept the Summer Ball tickets.

The winners will be notified by email by 11 May. The results will be announced on the Me@Reading student portal by the end of May.

Any winners who have already purchased a Summer Ball ticket by the time they are notified will receive a full refund for their ticket as part of the prize.

If you do not wish to complete either survey but would still like to enter the prize draw, email studentcomms@reading.ac.uk and we will provide further information.

Together, we’re improving your student experience

We listen to our students and work in partnership to make improvements. For further information about how we’ve worked together in response to feedback from student surveys and other channels, visit our dedicated webpage.
