Where can I find more information?
You can contact the Thames Valley Police Registration Office by telephone 01865 541191 or by emailing ForeignNationalRegistrations@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk.
Do I need to keep my police registration certificate?
You should keep your police registration certificate safe as you will need to include along with your supporting documents if you make another visa application within the UK or if you need to inform the police of any changes.
You should tell the police if your police registration certificate is lost or stolen. If it is lost you will receive a lost property number and if it is stolen you will receive a crime reference number. You should then get a replacement from the police using the Thames Valley Police Foreign Nationals online system.
Do I need to do anything else once I have registered?
You will need to inform the police within seven days when any of the details on your police registration certificate change. Changes include:
- Change of address
- Change of college/university/course
- Change of occupation
- Change in marital status
- Change of visa/extension of visa
- New passport details
- Any children born whilst you are in the UK
- Exemption from Police Registration
To inform the police of any changes you need to log into your account on the Thames Valley Police Foreign Nationals system (link above), select ‘change your details’ and complete all sections of the form. You will need to book an appointment to visit a police station if your address, visa details, name or anything else that would physically alter the PRC changes.
If you do not inform the police of changes to your details you may be in breach of your visa conditions, and the Home Office could refuse future immigration applications or remove you from the UK. You might be barred from returning to the UK for a certain period.
What should I do if I need to travel and have not yet attended an appointment?
If you urgently need to travel before attending an appointment, please contact the International Advisory Team by emailing email@example.com.
What do I need to provide at my appointment?
