- DNS: Depending on whether you have been granted extenuating circumstances, you may be given the opportunity to sit your exams for a further attempt. Your result will therefore be deemed not to have sat (DNS). Assignments and in-class tests may also be deemed not to have sat (DNS).
- ECF: Refers to the Exceptional Circumstances form and process. Find out more about eligibility and getting support with your exams.
- Part (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 etc): Your Part refers to your year of study. For example, if you are in your first year, you are a Part 1 student.
- School: Your academic school contains a department or number of departments grouped together. For example, the School of Politics and Economics contains the Department of Politics and International Relations, and the Department of Economics. Each school has its own Support Centre.
