What will happen if I am taking modules outside of my Part (study year)?
If you are taking a module (with an exam) from outside of your Part, the exam will be held within the examination period for the Part to which the module belongs.
This may mean that your exam clashes with teaching. In this situation you are expected to attend the exam; however you are not permitted to miss teaching in order to revise.
If you are a Finalist taking a non-Finalist module, your exam may be held after the Finals exam period, and this may lead to a delay in you receiving your result.
Scheduling of exams
Exams are typically held Monday - Friday during mornings and afternoons. Exams may also be scheduled during early evenings and on Saturdays, but are not normally held on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
When can I expect to receive my personal exam timetable and how will I be able to access it?
Your personal exam timetable for the summer term will be published on the RISIS portal by the end of the first week of the Easter vacation, and you will receive an email when it is ready to view.
You will be able to login to the RISIS portal to view your exam timetable which will be located under the 'Programmes and Modules' tab. If you have any trouble viewing your timetable, please contact email@example.com.

Publication of exam results and degree classifications

Degree classifications for final year students are formally published following the University Awarding Board. Marks for Finalists are also published individually to students and can be accessed via the RISIS portal at the same time.
Following the University Progression Board meetings, results for non-finalist students will be published on the student RISIS portal and students will be emailed when they are available.
