To make a request to access interim/final transcript or Diploma Supplement, please email take-home-exam@reading.ac.uk in the first instance. If you are currently awaiting results, we will only be able to issue you an interim transcript for marks that are available (marks will be unconfirmed marks which are subject to change).   

• Finalist students in the UK who wish to access a final transcript should request this by emailing the Student Services Reception team at studenthelp@reading.ac.uk you will receive your Diploma Supplement (which is essentially your final transcript) with your degree certificate this year. Certificates are being posted to students from now over the next few weeks. So please only request a final transcript should you need this urgently (i.e. in August) to apply for a job or your next course of study. Note:.
• University of Reading Malaysia students will have their transcripts issued by the UoRM Exams Office.
• NUIST students do not have access to self-service transcripts, even if the UK. To access a final transcript NUIST students can make this request by emailing nuist-admin@reading.ac.uk. If NUIST students would like an interim transcript they can request this via studenthelp@reading.ac.uk

All students will have received an email when their results are available to view on RISIS. Results were made available on the RISIS portal to undergraduate finalists and postgraduate taught students between 22 and 24 July, and to undergraduate non-finalists during the week commencing Monday 27 July.

Once you receive your results, if you have major concerns about them and believe that your academic performance has been affected by a circumstance(s) outside of your control, to the extent that your results are very different to those you normally achieve, there is an option to request a retake of one or more of your assessments (including examinations, coursework and dissertations). This is an exceptional arrangement which we have put in place this year. 
If you are considering this retake option you need to think very carefully about it, particularly if you have actually passed overall, so we have provided more detailed guidance in the FAQs.

Please note, for students enrolled on programmes with professional accreditations, different arrangements may apply. We will be in touch with those students directly with further information.

Following the publication of results, you will have five working days to make a reasonable request to retake one or more of your assessments (including examinations, coursework and dissertations). For coursework and dissertations, the option to retake applies to work with an original or extended submission date between 28 March and 12 June (inclusive) as well as coursework set as alternative assessments for Summer Term exams.

It is important that you do not make any decisions until you have sought academic advice from your School/Department.

If you are not clear what your results mean you should speak with the named contact in your School/Department. They can help guide you and discuss what you can do if your results may be problematic for you.

Please note, if you submitted a CIP request to defer an examination but then subsequently chose to take the exam then your paper has been marked and will be included in your overall results calculation.

Students registered on an undergraduate programme or an Integrated Master’s programme have a right to a reassessment if they have failed or are not qualified in the relevant Part or Final Examination. You will therefore automatically be offered a resit as in any normal year.

Students registered on postgraduate taught programmes have a right to re-assessment, on one occasion only, in any module which they have failed. You will therefore automatically be offered a resit as in any normal year. The exception to this is the dissertation module where the right to resit is restricted (see Section 28.6.3 of the Assessment Handbook).

A resit is a second attempt of assessment and is offered to students in any normal year should you have failed or are not qualified in the relevant Part or Final Examination, or should you fail a module (PGT). This would appear as a second attempt on your transcript and be subject to capping in classification. For more details about resits please refer to Section 28 of the Assessment Handbook for more information.

This can happen for a number of reasons such as late submission of an assessment or an unavoidable delay in marking.  If you see Results Not Yet Available then please seek academic advice from your School/Department as soon as possible.
