Careers & Placements Fair - what's happening
12 - 16 October
This is usually the University's biggest careers event of the year and for this first time ever it is going virtual! The employers participating generally offer roles that are open to any discipline. You will find major corporations but also a mixture of SMEs and charities from a range of sectors.
It's a great time to start looking at opportunities, find a placement or graduate career, whilst networking with your potential future employer.
You can browse the Career Fair Plus app to find out more about the employers participating, their webinars and to book 1:1 Employer Chats (details will start becoming available 4 weeks before).
Attend webinars (12-15 October) delivered by a range of employers looking to recruit to graduate schemes, internships and placements for a 2021 start date. Many will also be happy to talk about 2022 entry. Find out what they have to offer and experience the live Q&A session.
All available via Blackboard with timings listed in each employer’s profile on Careers Fair Plus.
We believe our students deserve those valuable one-to-one conversations with employers. That’s why you can book a 10 minute telephone appointment with your favourites for Friday 16 October (take a look at their availability via the app from Monday 5 October). Take this opportunity to give yourself the edge and find out more about the organisation, job role and how to make a great application. Our friendly employers are keen to talk to you. You can book your appointment via Careers Fair Plus and we’ll notify you when bookings are open.
Our expert Careers Consultants provide CV reviews, careers advice and more via webinars or one-to-one telephone appointments (bookable on MyJobsOnline).
Visit the LinkedIn Photo Booth!
Come and have your free professional photograph taken at our LinkedIn Photo Booth (located outside Palmer Building). Book a slot using the Employer 1:1 Chats blue button on Careers Fair Plus and get a photo that will help your profile look professional.
