RUSU and JCRs

Find out what student-led support is available during your time at Reading.

For information on Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU) and how they can help you during your time at University, visit their webpages.

JCRs

Each hall has an elected Junior Common Room (JCR) committee. JCR representatives are all volunteers and represent the students based within the hall, they also coordinate social events and offer student support.

As part of the Students’ Union, JCRs represent the students living in university accommodation. If your heating breaks down or if there aren't enough options at breakfast, your JCR will represent your needs.

JCRs also create a sense of community in each hall, organising social events that everyone can get involved in. Events includes ‘Fresher’s Week’, sports competitions, annual formal dinners and community volunteering projects.
