Areas of interest

I am interested in empirical family and labour economics, especially topics related to human capital. My current research topics include parenting, addictive behaviour and labour supply. I am also interested in other research topics in applied microeconomics.

Postgraduate supervision

I am interested in supervising research students in empirical family and labour economics.


I joined University of Reading in 2021. I completed my PhD at Chinese University of Hong Kong. I started my interest in applied microeconomics and labour economics when I was an undergraduate student. I continued my study at postgraduate level and began my research in family and labour economics. Now I am interested in applied microeconomics, especially family economics related to human capital.  I am experienced in teaching various economics modules including microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, industrial economics, labour economics, banking and corporate finance.
