Areas of interest

I am an Applied Economist with interests in Labour Economics (focusing on migration), Development Economics, Applied Microeconomics and Policy Impact Evaluation. I am also interested in market research in Emerging and Developing Market Economics (EMDE).

I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economics from the Universities of Lagos, Nigeria and Surrey, United Kingdom respectively. I am currently completing my PhD in Economics at the University of Reading. In my doctoral research, I investigate the effect of migration and remittances on different outcomes in origin communities.

Prior to my PhD studies, I worked as a Research Analyst in a research-based financial services organisation in Lagos, Nigeria. As a result, I have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with currencies, commodities, fixed income and equity markets as well as macroeconomic policies in an emerging market context.
