Complement your postgraduate study of psychology through a number of NHS-partnered clinics, professional training centres and research placements (For placement information, ask us at www.reading.ac.uk/question) in neuroscience, developmental psychopathology and clinical research.
The Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics provides access to modern technology and expertise in cognitive and computational neuroscience. We also have facilities for experimental and observational research, including a number of specialist laboratories. These include virtual reality, ageing, infant vision, infant language, auditory perception, body kinematics, psychophysiology, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and electroencephalogram (EEG).
Our degrees take a current approach to the practice of psychology, and you take mandatory modules in a range of analytical methods. You will benefit from the many collaborative ventures of staff and from their involvement with national and international research projects, professional societies and funding bodies, as well as opportunities to participate in academic dissemination, such as conferences and scientific journals.
100% of our research impact has been classed ‘outstanding’ or ‘very considerable’ (REF 2021, combining 4* and 3* submissions – Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience).
