Pharmacy
The University of Reading has an established reputation for research into the application of chemical, pharmaceutical and pharmacological expertise to areas of therapeutic and biological importance.
There is a collaborative environment across the University. In particular, the School of Pharmacy has become integrated with the Brain Embodiment Laboratory (BEL) following a £300,000 investment to establish electrophysiology/tissue culture facilities and expand collaborations with computational neuroscientists.
We have a range of fantastic research facilities, including the £4m Chemical Analysis Facility. This provides access to a wide range of modern equipment and expertise essential for modern chemical and pharmaceutical research and our burgeoning activity at the chemistry-biology interface.
Strong links with industry allow access to industrial laboratories and facilities to support your research. Many of our staff hold external appointments at various national and international research committees, which provide additional opportunities for participation in conferences and other networking events.
