Technologies and services
At the University of Reading, our Schools and Departments implement a number of different technologies into their teaching to strengthen the learning experience we give to our students.
The TEL team work closely with academic staff across the University to make sure technology is used to its full potential in every programme taught. Students are able to access course material, watch live lectures, and submit assignments through technology, for a seamless structure to education.
BLACKBOARD LEARN
The University's virtual learning environment (VLE) gives students flexible access to online learning, allowing them to access their course materials, their study programme and information for their School on the go.
BLACKBOARD COLLABORATE
Using online web conferencing, Blackboard Collaborate allows our academic staff to hold interactive live online meetings, seminars and tutorials with students.
TURNITIN
An online tool for students to submit assignments through, which detects plagiarism and grammatical errors, and offers grading tools for a quick and thorough marking and feedback process.
CAMPUS PACK
The technology used for group projects, Campus Pack allows students to work together digitally as they are able to build a collaborative online space which tutors can access to give immediate feedback.
