If you're a student - what could online courses mean for you?

Learn for free at your own pace and at a time to suit you!

Why not sign up for one of our free courses to broaden your knowledge and explore topics you may not otherwise have a chance to study?

Get involved in the online courses project - contribute to course content, support learners during live course runs, develop key skills and enhance your CV!

When we sit down with our academic teams at the initial planning stage for each course, we always consider how we might include contributions from our students.

To date, these contributions include:

                    • Designing and creating animations and infographics as part of the Typography Department's real job project.
                    • Researching and writing course content.
                    • Designing final year projects to develop spin-off course articles.
                    • Attending focus groups to discuss proposed course content.
                    • Presenting on film and in audio podcasts.
                    • Designing a week of online course content as an output from the History Department.
                    • Training up and joining a team of course mentors (often postgraduates) to help facilitate and guide learners during live course runs. We pay our course mentors on an hourly basis, and the hours worked can be counted towards the RED Award.
