As part of the Academic Development and Enhancement team I have responsibility for managing the Teaching and Learning Development Fund (TLDF) and its associated projects and schemes. This includes the following:
Mini and Maxi Enhancement Projects
Partnerships in Learning and Teaching (PLanT)
Reward and recognition schemes
Collaborative Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Teaching and Learning
University Teaching Fellowship Scheme (UTFS)
I also co-ordinate, and mentor the University's applicants for, the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS).
I am an internal assessor and tutor on the FLAIR Academic Practice Programme and a panel member and mentor for the FLAIR CPD scheme. I also look after the University's online teaching and learning directory T&L Exchange.
My background is in teaching in the 14-19 sector and in supporting students' learning development in HE. I have held a number of posts at the University, including as Study Support Officer for the Centre for the Development of Teaching and Learning, and as Assistant Director of the Centre for Career Management Skills, a HEFCE funded Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. I have been working in a central T&L development role since 2010.
