Frequently Asked Questions for students starting a new programme in January 2022

What support are you offering for students who need to quarantine?

If you are arriving in the UK from another country, you may need to quarantine in your student accommodation for a period under the UK Government COVID-19 regulations. When you complete online enrolment, you will have the option to let us know you need to quarantine so we can offer you support.

We are also offering support for new and returning international students who need to quarantine with our Quarantine Support Package.

If you have any questions about quarantine, please contact our International Student Advisory Team.

In line with advice from the National Health Service and the World Health Organisation, we strongly recommend that students and colleagues should be fully vaccinated as soon as they can.

If you have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine overseas that is also available in the UK, you should receive the same vaccine for your second dose. If the vaccine you received for your first dose is not available in the UK, the most similar alternative should be offered as per the advice on vaccine interchangeability guidance. You should contact a doctor to ensure you receive an appropriate vaccine for your second dose.
