Daily reported COVID-19 cases

We have set up a dedicated page to provide information on the numbers of positive test results for COVID-19 from University of Reading students and staff reported to us. The page will be updated each weekday.

Rapid testing for students and staff

Our rapid on-campus COVID-19 testing centre at the SportsPark closed at the end of May.

We are encouraging all students and staff who are working on campus to take tests regularly, even if you have received your vaccination and are not displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.

You can pick up free home testing kits from the dedicated collection point at:

  • Library CafĂ©: Mondays and Thursdays from 10am to 4pm

Alternatively, you can also find local sites offering assisted lateral flow tests on the government website, or get a home test kit from:

  • London Road testing centre - you can pick up home test kits without an appointment at the NHS walk-in test centre at The Great Hall on our London Road campus
  • by post - if you can't collect a home test kit from campus, you can order a pack of seven test kits from the NHS to be delivered to your home quickly by post
  • a local pharmacy.

We will continue to review the detail of any further government announcements closely to ensure we are complying with new guidance and protecting the safety of our community.
