Dr Zhiwen (Vincent) Luo

  • School Director of Postgraduate Research Studies (Admissions)

  • International Lead/Erasmus Co-ordinator

  • Module convenor, Building Environmental Systems CE2BES (UG), Healthy Building Project CE1DPR (UG), Urban Microclimates CEM223 and Green Building Assessment CEM229 (PG).

Areas of interest

Dr Luo's research expertise covers building and urban scale environmental design to achieve sustainable, resilient and healthy buildings and cities, in particular:

  • smart buildings (climate-responsive architectural design, weather forecast-based building energy simulation)

  • healthy building (indoor air quality, inflectional disease control and ventilation)

  • urban microclimate (urban heat island, urban air pollution and urban ventilation).
