I started my PhD in September 2016 under the supervision of Professor Tim Duff. My research focus is on how Plutarch constructs Boiotian identity, determining what picture we get of Boiotian people, their history and their culture by analysing Plutarch's works. I am also interested in 4th century BC Greek history and rhetoric.
I studied for both my BA Ancient History and my MRes Classics and Ancient History at the University of Reading. My BA dissertation was on ancient Greek siege warfare and my MRes dissertation was on Cicero's In Pisonem.
Before coming to Reading in 2012, I worked as a Chartered Secretary and Chartered Tax Advisor in the oil and gas industry for over 20 years.
