Coming from Henan Province, the originating region of the Chinese civilization, I have been addicted to the ancient history of China since 1996, in my childhood. After completing my BA in Tianjin Normal University in 2011, I have obtained two MA degrees in the following years. The first was in Ancient History in the University of Kent, and the second in Comparative and Public History in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I entered the University of Reading in April 2016. The topic of my PhD thesis is the comparison -- mainly on political history -- between the Hellenistic period (especially the Seleucid Empire) and Qin-Han China. My supervisors are Dr. Rachel Mairs and Professor Timothy Duff.
