Mick Stringer

PhD Student

After graduating in English and Psychology at Keele University in 1971, Mick qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant and pursued a career as a finance professional in various manufacturing companies. He returned to academic life nine years ago, taking a BA and MA at Reading. His broad area of interest is in the confluence of ideas and behaviour in the ancient world, and he is preparing a thesis on the impact of definitions and recording systems on economic decision-making in the Roman world
