Dr Fletcher's principal area of interest is Plutarch's Parallel Lives. Her current projects include revising her PhD thesis to form a monograph entitled, 'Narrative and Biography in Plutarch's Parallel Lives' and co-editing, with Prof. Timothy Duff, a collection of articles on Plutarch and Herodotus.
She is interested more broadly in ancient narrative literature, especially prose narrative.

Dr Fletcher completed an AHRC-funded PhD in Classics at the University of Reading in 2015. She was supervised by Professor Timothy Duff and the topic of her thesis was Narrative in Plutarch's Parallel Lives. In 2013 she held a fellowship at the Library of Congress through the AHRC's International Placements Scheme. After completing her PhD, she worked for two years as Head of Classics at Kendrick Grammar school in Reading.
