Meet Angela Mason
I graduated from Oxford Brookes University as a very mature student in 2003 with a BA in English and Education Studies, and from the University of Reading with a PGCE (FE) Teaching degree in 2004. After working in education elsewhere, I returned to the University of Reading as an Administrative Team Leader at the Institute of Education in 2006, supporting staff and students for ten very happy years. In 2016, I took the option of voluntary severance, giving my husband and I the opportunity to follow our dream and travel Europe in our tiny caravan for a year - what we refer to as our 'grey gap year'. I am now re-employed at the Institute of Education at the University. I love walking, be it long distance walking, dog walking, Nordic walking or just walking to a pub; reading; listening to audio books and the radio; going to the theatre; camping (tent or caravan) and virtually any outdoor activity. I have a wonderful husband, two children, two step children and six grandchildren. Time spent with family is, for me, a joy and just about as good as it gets.
