About Us

About usThe Chemical Analysis Facility is a state-of-the-art instrument suite that underpins the chemical aspects of world-class research at the University of Reading across a number of Biological and Physical Science areas, Archaeology, Soil Science and Engineering. Medically related topics form a significant portion of the work embracing fields such as pharmaceutics, drug synthesis and nutrition.

There are six platforms of instrumentation:

The work of the Facility embraces both fundamental and applied research.

The Facility is available to all Chemistry students at Reading, including undergraduates. Students have the opportunity to be part of real research, working alongside our researchers in a final-year project.
