The business continuity management programme is an ongoing management and governance process supported by senior management and appropriately resourced to ensure that the necessary steps are taken to identify the impact of potential incidents, maintain viable recovery strategies and plans, and ensure continuity of Teaching and Learning, Research and Enterprise through training, exercising, maintenance and review.
Business Continuity at the University
Business continuity and incident planning determines how quickly the University can get back to normal after a major fire or flood, utility disruption, pandemic or other major incident.
A commitment to major incident planning and business continuity will help support students and staff to maintain teaching and research functions as well as protect the core business areas. In this way Business Continuity as a protocol seeks to support the University community, local residents, the local economy and our reputation.
