Are we for you?: child protection workshops

applespageimageBlack Box workshops have proved to be of great benefit in the field of child protection. We have run a number of workshops specifically for social workers, community support workers, health visitors and and related professionals; multi-disciplinary workshops have received particularly positive responses from delegates. Black Box provides a profound response to the training requirements of the Common Assessment Framework and our workshops are designed to support those who deliver essential frontline services in the public sector.

'A wonderful and thought-provoking experience' - Public sector delegate

Black Box workshops create a reflective space in which principles of communication and analysis can be examined away from the pressures of the workplace.

'It was helpful to identify similarities and differing views of situations. … Great bonding experience' - Public sector delegate

Black Box provides a method to analyse your individual responses to situations that would, on a day-to-day basis, be full of exterior influence. By picking apart the influences affecting our decision-making, Black Box can refresh and rejuvenate the skills of perception that you are required to use daily in pressured and time-constrained conditions.

One of Black Box's underlying strengths is getting people to see things from the point of view of others. This helps develop team-building skills, but in the context of multi-disciplinary groups is particularly valuable, as it enables colleagues with different professional backgrounds and priorities to communicate more effectively.
