Practical skills such as vegetation survey and assessment and geographic information systems are taught as part of this course. This course emphasises a hands-on approach to learning. You will learn in the University's own botanical gardens and herbarium as well as on visits to sites such as the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, RHS Garden Wisley and various nature reserves. You will also receive lectures from leading academics in the field, and undertake an individual project to hone your research skills.
