MA Archaeology

Join a flexible master's programme that prepares you for a career in research, the commercial sector or heritage management.

As an MA student, you'll have the opportunity to develop a strong research base that links social and scientific archaeology. We also offer a range of optional modules, allowing you to tailor your learning experience.

MSc Professional Human Osteoarchaeology

Gain advanced instruction on the osteological methods, theories and techniques needed to identify and analyse human skeletal remains from archaeological contexts.

As an MSc Professional Human Osteoarchaeology student, you'll receive highly vocational training and engage with professionals through talks and site visits, allowing you to develop vital contacts for your career.

Master's funding

Scholarships are available for master's students enrolling in 2022, some offered directly by the University and others allocated by external funding bodies. In order to apply, a candidate must have received an offer of admission to one of our participating master's courses.

The University is offering four scholarships of £3,000 each for international/EU students and five scholarships of £1,000 each for UK students offered admission to archaeology, geography and environmental science master's programmes.
