Key facts:

Prior to taking up the role of research assistant to Mike Fulford, Emma was a PhD student at Reading studying metal figurines in Roman Britain. She has worked in archaeology for a number of years, first as a finds and archives officer for archaeological units in Hertfordshire and Gloucestershire, then as research assistant to Professor Barry Cunliffe at Oxford University with whom she worked on field projects in Hampshire, France and Spain.

Current projects include the publication of finds from previously unpublished excavations at Colliton Park, Dorchester in Dorset and Chedworth Roman Villa in Gloucestershire. She is also assisting with the post-excavation analysis of the ongoing excavations at Silchester Insula IX conducted by Mike Fulford and Amanda Clarke. In addition, Emma works on field projects on the Channel Islands of Sark (conducted by Barry Cunliffe) and Alderney (conducted by Jason Monaghan, Director of Guernsey Museum Services).
