PGCert National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCO)
Thank you for your interest in the PGCert National Award for SENCO course. We look forward to welcoming you to the University.
This is the information that you will need to send to the Admissions Team before you can enrol for the programme:
- Completed consent letter from the Head Teacher or a Senior Manager at your current school. Please download the Consent letter template and print on your school headed paper. Once completed and signed the letter should be emailed to the admissions team.
- For SENCO accreditation you will also need to send a copy of official documentation verifying your Teacher Reference Number such as your QTS certificate or similar notification from the DfE that includes your registration number.
- Evidence that you have met any of the other outstanding conditions which are detailed in your offer email. These might be copies of documents to confirm your qualifications (e.g. your degree certificate) or a reference in support of your application.

If you have not already done so:
Accept your offer by logging into the applicant portal (full instructions are in your offer email)
Return the Head Teacher/Senior Manager consent letter
Send proof of your teacher reference number (TRN) (for SENCO accreditation)
Where appropriate, send evidence that you have met any other conditions attached to your offer.
