University enrolment for Reading Partnership Teachers

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS THE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SEPTEMBER 2021 ENTRY.

We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Reading campus

Enrolment is a two stage process:

1. Online enrolment, where you can check the contact details we have for you, upload your photo and either pay 50% of your tuition fees or tell us who is paying them on your behalf. There is a PGITT enrolment guide for new students available at www.reading.ac.uk/enrol which will guide you through the different stages of online enrolment;

2. In-person enrolment, where you provide evidence of your ID and show the originals of your degree document and DBS ID documents and collect your campus card. (You will need to make sure you have completed online enrolment before you come to campus to complete in-person enrolment.)

We will be holding 'group' in-person enrolment sessions on campus at the beginning of September or alternatively you can collect your campus card earlier.

If you were unable to collect your campus card at early enrolment or the Group sessions please see details below for later dates:

Early enrolment

You can visit reception in the Carrington Building on the Whiteknights campus to collect your campus card at the following times:

From 19th August: Monday-Friday- 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm

Please remember to take a form of Photo ID with you and have your Reading ID number to hand. You can find this at the top of any emails that we have sent to you.

If you enrol early we will contact you separately to make arrangements to check your original documents after you have collected your campus card.

Enrolment 'group' sessions

University-led Primary PGCE trainees (including Early Years, Primary with SEN and Primary with Maths):

Please come to the Ground Floor of the Palmer Building on the Whiteknights campus on Wednesday 8th September at the following time:

12.30pm: Primary PGCE Group A

1.00pm: Primary PGCE Group B

You will receive confirmation of which group you are in before 8th September and we would be grateful if you could arrive at the relevant time for your group to prevent overcrowding.

Primary School Direct trainees (salaried and non-salaried):

Please come to the Ground Floor of the Palmer Building on the Whiteknights campus on Wednesday 8th September at the following time:

1.30pm: Primary School Direct Group A

2.00pm: Primary School Direct Group B

You will receive confirmation of which group you are in before 8th September and we would be grateful if you could arrive at the relevant time for your group to prevent overcrowding.

All Secondary trainees (PGCE and School Direct)

Please come to the Ground Floor of the Palmer Building on the Whiteknights campus on Friday 3rd September at the following time for your subject:

9.30-10.30: Secondary Art, Design & Technology, Geography and History trainees

10.30-11.30: Secondary Drama, English, Music and Religious Education trainees

11.30-12.30: Secondary Maths and Modern Foreign Languages trainees

12.30-1.30: Secondary Computer Science, PE and Science trainees

We would be grateful if you could arrive at the relevant time for your subject to prevent overcrowding.

Later Campus Card collection

If you were unable to attend any of the Group Sessions to collect your campus card you can collect at the following times/locations:

Until 16th September:

Help desk - Carrington Building: Monday-Friday 11.00-13:00 and 14:00-16:00

16th-24th September:

Palmer Building (Rooms G01-G03): 09:30-17:00

Please remember to bring the following documents to the enrolment session:

  • A form of Photo ID
  • The original of your degree certificate or diploma supplement/HEAR report (or equivalent qualification);
  • The originals of the three ID documents you provided for your DBS check (or, if you asked us to verify a previous DBS check through the update service, the original of the DBS certificate that you sent to us);
  • Non-EU students who require a student visa to study in the UK - the originals of your passport and your Biometric Residence Permit card.
