    Plough spud used for scraping dirt off the mouldboard when clogged. From workshop of Mr W. W. Field, wheelwright in Winson, Gloucestershire.
    This is a plough spud, used for scraping dirt off the mouldboard of a plough when it became clogged. It is made of iron and would have been attached to a handle. It came from the workshop of Mr W. W. Field, a wheelwright in Winson, Gloucestershire. Mr Field retired circa 1960 and the business closed.
