  • Description
    This is an oil stone, a sharpening stone used to sharpen tools and implements. It consists of a wooden base with the oil stone fitted into it, with a wooden lid. It belonged to Mr W. W. Field, a wheelwright in Winson, Gloucestershire. Mr Field retired circa 1960 and the business closed.
