Description
This axe has a broad curved steel blade, stamped 'W. Gilpin Wedges Mill Warranted Solid Steel', and a curved ash handle. It belonged to Mr W. W. Field, a wheelwright in Winson, Gloucestershire. Mr Field retired circa 1960 and the business closed.
