Description
A potato rake used for raking potatoes out of the fire when baking them. Common hearth utensil in the 18th and 19th C.
This wrought iron potato rake was used for raking potatoes out of the fire when they had been put in the embers to bake. It was a very common down hearth utensil in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
