A flask used to store gunpowder for shooting. Design shows a dog, with a hare, rabbit and gun. Used circa 1870 in Warminster, Wiltshire.
This copper flask was used to store gunpowder, for hunting and shooting. It has a brass cap and nozzle. The repousse design shows a dog, with a hare, rabbit and gun, underneath a tree. The powder flask was used by the donor’s grandfather circa 1870 in Warminster, Wiltshire.
