This crupper and hips straps are part of the harness for a cart horse. The crupper loops under the horse's tail to stop the harness slipping forward. The harness was used on the Godman Estate in Horsham, West Sussex, and at Pepper Gate Farm in Lower Beeding, West Sussex.
