    Trade token issued in the late 18th C. Used to trade during times of coin shortages or advertising purposes. Issued in Bury.
    Trade tokens were often issued in the late eighteenth century by merchants. They were used to trade during times of coin shortages but also for advertising purposes. This token was issued in 'Bury', and features the text 'Payable at Jams Goers // Ironmongers // Bury' with an image and text 'Success to the plough and fleece' on the reverse.
