The former Director of Music, University of Reading, Dr Thornton Lofthouse, conducts a small orchestra in a concert in a wartime shelter in the passages beneath the cloisters of the University's campus at London Road.
Dr Lofthouse conducting in the lamp-lit cloisters under the University of Reading's London Road site. Subdued tones of greys and browns with accents of light. 'Shelter No 7' written on wall on right. Signed and dated top left.
