    These pattens, forming a pair, came from Bierton, Buckinghamshire. They consist of wooden soles with leather toe caps and side pieces, nailed to the welt of the sole. Oval shaped irons are attached to the soles by a short leg at the front and back, rivetted to the wood.

They consist of wooden soles, 9.75 inches in length with leather toe caps and side pieces, nailed to the welt of the sole. Oval shaped irons are attached to the soles by a short leg at the front and back, rivetted to the wood. The toe caps are made of much softer leather than the side pieces, and are much more worn. They are laced with pieces of tape. The soles are well shaped. // See also 51/700L. //
